Ronal gives NEROCA maiden MSL Trophy

Promising striker Ng Ronal's solitary goal brought home first ever State League Trophy for NEROCA.
In the final match today, NEROCA defeated two-time title holder TRAU by 1-0 and clinched the prestigious champion trophy of the 9th Manipur State League organized by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykisan at Mapal Kangjeibung.

Right from the beginning of the match, players of both teams tried to overcome their counterparts and carried out many attacks by intruding each other's territory.
Even though there was an attacking game, they failed to break the deadlock in a barren first half.
In the second half time, young energized NEROCA players tried to overtake TRAU but well-experienced TRAU players gave no chance.
However, in the 66th minute NEROCA fans roared when Ng Ronal broke the deadlock and scored the lone goal of the final match through an excellent pass from Y Chingkhei.
TRAU's players tried to pull back the score but their attempts were in vain, thus they secured the runners up place.
League champion NEROCA won a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh with a running trophy, while runners up title holder TRAU got cash prize of Rs 1 lakh with a trophy.
Best Players trophy went to Y Chingkhei of NEROCA with a cash prize of Rs 20,000.Gogocha of SSU, who scored 10 goals during this season, bagged the Top Scorer title that includes one trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20,000 .
Fair Play trophy was bagged by TRAU comprising a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 .
After the final match, NEROCA coach former Indian mid-fielder L Gunabir expressed his fulfillment by the performance of his young players.
Even though NEROCA had already won the CC Meet title two times, he will not spare anything for this time also.
