ESU paid the penalty for adopting a defensive ploy to hold on to their slender lead as NYTHCs all-out assault to remain in contention for the title paid off when L Irani (ESU) deflected into her own net in clear off an aerial threat in the 40th minute.
K Dhanabatis floater off a corner found a leaping Ng Bala connecting towards the ESU goal where Irani scampered to prevent the ball from going in but ended in frustration finding her own net ruffled.
