Imphal, Aug 20:
All the six youths allegedly forced to act in the fake surrender drama christened as Home Coming Ceremony staged by Assam Rifles authority at IG AR (S) complex located at Mantripukhri on March 13 this year in presence of the commander of 3 Corps Lt Gen ZU Shah were accorded a real home coming ceremony today at Laimanai Makha Leikai.
The actors of the drama H Momocha of Laimanai Makha Leikai and T Hemanta of Luwangshangbam Matai were released from Sajiwa Jail on bail yesterday and the other victims of AR's false promises released earlier by Court - H Gobind, H Lemba, H Ingo and Sagolsem Gobind all belonging to Laimanai were accorded a warm reception under the aegis of the JAC Against Fake Surrender.
It may be recalled here that Hemanta had stated that he was a real surrenderee while Momocha refused to identify even his own mother when he was produced before the Court for the hearing.
Speaking on the occasion, Momocha disclosed that captain Raju of 37 AR forced him to drink two large pegs of rum just before he was produced before the Court on May 7.Clarifying on his refusal to identify his own parents, he said that he was threatened by Raju and the recruitment agent Yengkhom Somananda that he would be killed once he went out of the AR camp.
He was under duress to declare himself as an UG cadre before the court, Momocha added.
Saying that he was aware of the collapse of his mother in the Court room, Momocha disclosed that he had to leave the Court room with a broken heart and a heavy feeling of guilt in his heart as he was threatened with his life not to cast a glance at his mother by the AR personnel.
Recalling of their ordeal in the AR camp, Momocha said that they were treated nicely during the initial days but after some time they were lodged in a filthy room of Leikun camp.
He asserted that Somananda was a trader of human lives and ought to be punished in the most extreme manner.
