Army presents equipments to MMTA

Imphal, May 17 2010:
The 57 Mountain Division presented mountaineering and adventure sports equipments worth around Rs 5 lakhs to the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) today.
Commander, 73 Mountain Brigade, Brigadier NJ George presented the sports equipments to President, MMTADr L Surjit in a simple function held at MMTA Complex, Minuthong.
The equipments presented to MMTA were two tents for four men (Dom), one tent for 10 men (Alpine), one Mess Tent, 10 Ruck Sacks (85 litres), 15 Sleeping Bags (feather filled) HA, 20 Climbing Boots, 300 meter long climbing rope, 14 Descenders, four pairs of Jummar, four pairs of Walkie Talkie sets and 15 head lamps.
