REYS thump YWC by 7 wickets in Elite relegation round

REYS, Nagamapal secured a 7 wicket win against YWC, Langthabal in the second match of relegation round of the 5th MNCA Elite Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket ground, Luwangsangbam today.
REYS, Nagamapal wisely opted to field first and forced YWC to bundle out for 93 runs in 26.3 overs of the total 30 overs.
REYS then overhauled the target in 24.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
YWC struggled right from the beginning of their innings with wet outfield being unsupportive and REYS's Rishikanta (3/20 in 3.3 overs) wreaking havoc with his brilliant bowling.
P Prakashmani with 19 run off 40 balls was the highest run getter for the team followed by Th Kishan who mustered only 15 runs off 32 balls.
Other batsman reaching the double digit run for YWC was L Dinachandra (13) as REYS's Robertson, Jitender Thakur and Bishorjit all fetched two wickets each.
Chasing 94 for the win, REYS suffered an early jolt as Dijen was out on 1, Mintuchandra on 14 and Jayenta on 20 .
But the fourth wicket stand between Guniram (12) and Robertson (39) was more than enough for them to secure the win.
The win also helped the team avoid the relegation scare to a great extent.
L Robertson who shone with both the ball and the bat was adjudged man of the match.
FORCE CC, Kshetrigao will play CYCLONE CC, Thangmeiband in the 1st semi-final match of the tournament tomorrow at the same venue.
