The cloudy sky failed to dampened football spirit here at the Bangalore Football Stadium as the Madras Engineer Group (MES)'s Ngurneilal Hmar was in 'high spirit' with his hattrick goals in the final of the Bangalore Super Division League.
Ngurneilal with solid support from Deepu Thapa was unstoppable as they set their record win defeating the Southern Blues (Hindustan Aeronautic's Sports Club) 7-0.
The MEG players had the upper hand right from the first whistle.
They ran, skid, jump and strike at regular intervals.Maybe, luck was not on their side the Souther Blues simply were out played even as they try several re-grouping strategy.
Ngurneilal and Deepu seems to be all over the place.
Ngurneilal puts in the goal early from the right side well pass Southern's goal keeper C Nikhil's.The Southern's forward Nirmal tendency to dribble the ball cost them more than two chances of scoring against the MES.
Within 14 minutes of play the MEG were already with four goals.
After that Ngurneilal took the field.
Attempts by the Southern's to bring him down on several occasion failed miserably as he was "jumping like a horse", said one spectator.
Ngurneilal scored a hattrick with distinct style in the 41st, and within minutes (42nd) scored another one and the third one in the 79th min with Lokesh Singh making excellent pass for the man of the day.
The final goal for MEG come from Robin Singh in the 81st minute.
"The boys have worked very hard and they deserved to win this match." said MEG coach Mr Sajith Kumar.
The coach is also confident that his team will prove that their 7-0 win against the Southerns on Thursday was not just good luck even as he looked forward to another match with the Southerns again on August 11.
