Youth Amateur Welfare Association (Yawa), Singjamei, Sports Authority of India - Recreation Club (SAI RC), Takyel and Youth Athletic Sepaktakraw Association (Yasta), Thoubal finished their campaign in the State Sepaktakraw Championship that concluded at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium today with two top title each in various events.
Yawa narrowly missed their third title of the competition when they went down fighting to Manipur Police Sports Club in the men�s regu final of the 20th edition today.
MPSC won 22-20, 21-14.SAI RC, Takyel secured the third position in the event.
In the other final clash of the day, Yasta bagged its second title of the championship with a 21-16, 21-13 victory over Social Welfare Club (SWC), Hiyanglam in regu event of the 8th junior girls championship while Yawa occupied the third spot.
Yasta had also clinched the top honour of the 8th junior boys team event defeating arch rivals Yawa yesterday.
The second title for the Singjamei side came in junior boys regu event yesterday pipping Yasta in the final as Popular Union Club (Puc), kairang bagged the third position.
SAI men took the team event title defeating MPSC with the SAI women bagging the second title of the championship with victory over Yawa eves in team event final yesterday.
The closing ceremony of the championship organised by All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association was held with Lok Sabha MP Dr T meinya Singh and president of the Association Kh Debendra Singh as the chief guest and president respectively.
Former Minister Atomba Ngairangcha graced the occasion as guest of honour.
