Imphal, September 19:
Ningombam Chitrasen of Manipur scaled the top of the Kangla Rock Wall in 3:16.17 seconds to win first position of the 6th North East Zone Sports Climbing Competition 2004 organized by Manipur Moun- taineering and Trekking Association today at its Minuthong premise.
Chitrasen�s State-mate Puyam Shubhash Singh secured the second position reaching the top of the wall in 3:23.02 seconds while Loitongbam Sanjit (4:10.27) and Shaikhom Shyamkumar (4:22.09) settled for third and fourth place respectively.
K Wallambok Lyngdoh of Meghalaya finished fifth with a timing of 3:04.12 second to scale 32 holes.
Besides five other climbers from the hosts State, Meghalaya was represented by six competitors.
