AR provides medical aid to a four year old

Chandel, August 27 2019:
Momang, a four year old boy from Phoilen village, Chandel district had got a cut on his left heel and was brought unconscious to the unit hospital of Sehlon Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles on August 25 .
The nearest primary health centre is 90 kms away at Chakpikarong in Chandel district and with the state of road being deplorable and no vehicles plying in the hilly region, the evacuation of the child would have amounted to a treacherous task, said a press release issued by PRO, IGAR.
However, the medical team of the Battalion under IGAR treated the boy by administering three stitches on his left heel.
Parents of the four year old child expressed gratitude to Sehlon Battalion for saving their son's life.
