Imphal, October 15 2008:
The Government has revoked the detention of Titus Kamei (38) s/o Kamei of Nungba Bazar under National Security Act (NSA) with immediate effect.
An order was in this regard was issued on September 17 last in pursuance of the order of Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
JAC constituted against the detention of Titus Kamei urged the concerned authority to expedite the pending bailable case against him.
A press release issued by the secretary of the JAC, Bandai Kamei said that Ajon Gonmei has confessed and admitted that he had spoiled the good name of Poukhonlung Kamei by releasing irresponsible stament to daily newspapers.
He was fined a sum of Rs 1000 as per customary law, the press release added.
