CCpur, September 10 2017:
The Churachandpur District Disable Union (CDDU) has once again raised the issue of incorporating disabled friendly structures in all important Government institutions demanding immediate intervention of the Government to ensure its public installations are made accessible for all, days ahead of the Chief Minister’s impending reception in Churachandpur .
Absence of ramps, western toilets and installation of other components, at the district Mini-Secretariat, appears to be the immediate concern.
The union has been petitioning the Government for almost half a decade for the same but the absence of these components in the buildings till now is worrying the union .
Besides the Mini-Secretariat, the union along with other NGOs has been pleading for accessibility provision in major installations across the district including in Churches and Sunday schools.
While a sizable institutions manned by private and Churches have responded, the Government is yet to take any visible action.
