KSO lauds CM

The Kuki Students' Organisation (General headquarters) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister O Ibobi for endorsing the KSO's appeal regarding the enhancement of the reward package for Mary Kom.
The Rs 75 lakh cash incentive, allotment of 3 acres for Mary Kom's boxing academy, her promotion to the rank of SP and other accolades were a fitting tribute to a living sports icon by a responsible Government, general secretary of the KSO (Ghq), Sasang Vaiphei said in a statement.
Congratulating CM O Ibobi and his Government, the KSO also highly appreciated the responsiveness of the State Government.
While sharing the joy of Mary Kom and her family, the KSO said that the sight of her magnificence and sheer grit in and outside the ring was a source of inspiration for all.
It added that her decision to continue to quest for a Gold medal in the Olympics is welcoming and inspiring to all.
Winning or losing, Mary Kom would continue to be the Queen of the Ring, the KSO said while adding that her achievement entrenched the designation of the State of Manipur as the 'power house of sports' in the country.
