Imphal, April 19:
Following an agreement with the Government, the Chandel unit of AMSU has decided to call off its blockade on the Imphal-Moreh route scheduled to be imposed from tomorrow, reports our correspondent.
The student body is demanding adequate teachers and infrastructure at the Moreh High School.
The blockade was called off after a meeting between AMSU, Moreh High School Students' Union and MLA Bijoy Koijam at the Moreh police station today.
Among others the Government assured to fill up the vacant post of Head Master and Assistant Head Master of the school within 7 days time, to look into the lack of infrastructure soon etc.
The MLA also promised to contribute a sum of Rs 10,000 as aid to the school.
