Medical camp at Tuitam Khongkhai village

As part of the continued endeavor of Assam Rifles towards improving health care, Sajik Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a Medical Camp at Village Tuitam Khongkhai, Churachandpur Dist on 17 December 2018 under OP SADBHAVANA Project 2018-19 .
Keeping in mind the problems faced by the villagers due to prevalent socio-economic conditions and remoteness of the location, a complete checkup of every individual was carried out and this attempt was profoundly appreciated by all.
Regimental Medical Officer(RMO) Sajik Battalion with four medical staff provided free medical treatment and distributed medicine to the people of Tuitam Khongkhai and adjoining villages and a total of 225 patients including 89 males, 65 females and 71 children were provided treatment.
Apart from providing necessary medical attention, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation was also imparted.
All showed their gratitude to Assam Rifles and also conveyed their appreciation.
