Moreh, September 30 2011:
A joint meeting of the various social organisations in Moreh has resolved that no non-resident of 42-Tengnoupal A/C should contest in the election to the Assembly.
The resolution was adopted during the joint meeting held at the conference hall of Moreh Youth Club last week.
Representatives of Moreh based social organisations like HTC , Kuki Chiefs' Association, KSO and Kuki Women Union and Human Rights attended the meeting.
The meeting contended that there are many prospective local candidates in 42-Tengnoupal A/C and in the event of a non-resident candidate being elected, the development pace of the A/C would be delayed.
