Imphal, December 07 2013 :
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has announced to impose 12 hours Kohima bandh with effect from 6 am of December 9 .
The announcement has come after the shut down of Dimapur, the commercial town of Nagaland, by NPCC on December 3 demanding removal of Nagaland's Health and Family Welfare Minister Imkong L Imchen from the ministry of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).
NPCC calls former Nagaland home minister Imkong L Imchen as 'tainted and charge-sheeted' minister.
Imkong L Imchen was caught by security force personnel transporting Rs 1 crore and weapons during the 2013 February assembly election of Nagaland.
Imkong was the home minister then.
He is the leader of Naga Peoples Front (NPF) .
It said unless the tainted minister is removed from the ministry the party will not rest.
Earlier on November 29, effigies of Imkong L Imchen were burnt in Kohima by the NPCC volunteers in protest.
