Lamka, December 07 2013 :
Faced with non-consistent release of pay, and still awaiting for post creation to include their names in MGEL, Churachandpur District Primary Teachers' Association 2011 has today threatened to launch a protracted stir if the Government does not release their pending pays and complete the process of post creation by December 15 .
Claiming that they have been victimised year after year, the association President T Mangcha Haokip said, 'as the Government has issued an order that put a condition that our salary from September 2013 will be released only after fulfilling necessary MGEL formalities, we have again been victimised and made to wait for our salary, yet again' .
'With Christmas just days away, we have no means to take our family for shopping or give them the festive feeling without our salary,' he said adding, with the onset on new year they will also face with the mammoth task of getting them to school, and the money required to meet their admission fees, books and school uniforms.
'We will have no choice but to tell the Government of our plight in whatever ways we can,' he said hinting on the rationale behind their threat for stir.
The Association Secretary, Muanthang Valte said that the State Cabinet has on July 20, 2013 agreed to settle the MGEL and post creation issue of the teachers but nothing substantial has come out till date.
He said the association wants a pre-Christmas relaxation for their salary as well as the immediate realization of their post viz-a-viz their MGEL.
