Imphal, May 25:
Imphal Municipal Council warned the shopkeepers of the Imphal area that they would be punished according to the law of the land if packaged eatables being sold in this area do not possess labels.
The packets must be labelled with the name of the eatable, quantity of ingredients, whether it is vegetarian or non-vegetarian, manufactured and expiry date and the name of manufacturing company, a press release said.
