Imphal, May 25:
The Chingtham Leikai water supply plant was handed over to people by local MLA RK Anand after being repaired and renovated today.
The water supply plant taken up under PHED was first inaugurated in February 1985 but the scheme failed after a short time.
Taking into account of water shortage in the locality, repairing work of the plant was initiated last year.
The plant would now be able to supply water to ten localities including Chingtham Leikai.
The plant would supply potable water twice in every week.
A function was also organised in connection with the revival of the water supply plant.
It was attended by MLA RK Anand as chief guest.
