CWG observes 'Earth Day'

Imphal, April 24 2021:
The Centre for Women and Girls (CWG) observed 'Earth Day' by engaging children and youth across 9 different villages on April 22.Children prepared drawings, poems and slogans to celebrate Earth Day and called for sustainable living.
The CWG team took two nature walks with a small number of children to nearby hilltops, the Prayer Mountain at Thamlapokpi village and the Laiching Meipou hill.
Later, the Baptist Youth Department of the Centre, Church Molnoi Area planted 60 bamboo saplings on the hill.
The events of the day were supported by Terre des Hommes, Germany.
