Imphal, June 12 2017:
Die in Harness Association Education (S) has threatened to launch intense agitation if the authority concerned does not take up necessary actions for providing their requisite benefits.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the association's advisor Oinam Hemanta alleged that the State Government has not taken up any steps to provide 5 to 10 percent benefits for Grade IV and Grade III posts, despite earlier assurance.
The benefits have been absent in Education (S) since 1985 although the benefit have already been provided for other Departments, he added.
Hemanta said that the association would submit an ultimatum to the Chief Minister to fulfil the association's demand by June 18 and threatened to launch intense agitation starting with a sit in protest from the next day, June 19, in case the authority concerned fails to provide any tangible solution.
