AMMPWA extends financial aid

All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangals) Welfare Association (AMMPWA) has extended financial support to Gyamnast aspirant Master Md.Irshad Ali (5) s/o Md.Abdus Salam of Uchiwa Wangbal, Mayang Imphal by opening a bank account with an initial deposit of Rs.5000 in his credit.
Belonging to a BPL family with father being a cultivator and mother a simple homemaker, Master Irshad has all talents and skills in the field of playing gymnastics and acrobat games right from his infanthood without any training and education.
AMMPWA handed over the Passbook and other related documents in a simple gathering hosted by the Chairperson of Manipur State Minorities Commission A Halim Chowdhury, IAS (Retd.) in his residential complex at Babupara, Imphal today with a special show presented by the young gymnast.
The financial aid has been extended by AMMPWA in order to promote the extra-ordinary inborn talent of the young boy in shaping his future career in the field of sports.
Delivering the key note address of the function, Secretary of AMMPWA Md.Akhtar Hussain said that if the young boy is given an opportunity, he shall be an asset to the nation by bringing laurels in the field of sports.
AMMPWA felt that Master Irshad Ali must be given proper education and training so that he may one day win medal even in the Olympic Games.
Apart from A Halim Chowdhury, IAS (Retd.), Moulana Abdus Salam, Alhaj Zaed Ahmed, Dr Syed Ahmed, Dr.Md.Raheijuddin Sheikh, Md.Mujibur Rahman and Birendra Chabungbam were also present during the function.
