A day after employees under the Manipur Secretariat Service Association (MSSA) called of its cease work strike and resumed duty today, talks between representatives of JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO and revenue, forest and law & legislative affairs minister, Th Debendro started today.
With MSSA signed agreement with government, normalcy has been resumed in north, south and ministerial blocks of the secretariat, the backbone of the state administration which was remained paralyzed for nearly a month.
In the continue effort to break the deadlock, representatives of the striking JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO today held talk with minister, Th Debendro leading a committee of ministers formed to look into the demand of the striking employees recently.
The talk which lasted for about two hour held this afternoon reportedly discussed the anomalies in the office memorandum issued by the state government with regard to the implementation of the sixth pay bands of the central government employees.
Officials of the Pay Implementation Cell (PIC) were later also called up to participate in the discussion, publicity and information secretary of JAC, L Priyobarta said after coming out from the talk.
In the talk, officials admitted that there had some technical defects in the office memorandum issued on May 12 with regard to the implementation of recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission to its employees, he claimed.
Officials of PIC also assured the minister and representatives of striking JAC that they will hold consultation with chief secretary, principal secretary (finance) at the earliest, he added.
Further talk with the Chief Minister will be held at the earliest, Priyobarta said adding that minister Debenro also assured releasing leaders of JAC now in jail without any condition and participate in the talks with the Chief Minister.
