Imphal, July 10 2013:
The General secretary of KCP-MC (Lallumba) has categorically denied the statement of Deputy Chief Minister that leader of KCP-MC (Lallumba Group), Hitendra alias Lallumba alias Kritibash has not fled but is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
Reacting to the Dy Chief Minister statement, general secretary of KCP-MC (Lallumba), Wahengbam Ramananda alias Rousseau while addressing newsmen here reiterated that Lallumba has fled and he never met an accident as claimed by the Dy Chief Minister.
"We have report that Lallumba went to Koirengei, Chingmeirong and Luwangsangbam after leaving the camp," he said.
Since June 9, he was marked absent on the 7th MR Roll Call register, he said while adding that all efforts to contact him on phone went futile.
Dismissing the claim of Dy Chief Minister Gaikhangam who is also in-charge of Home as false, the KCP-MC general secretary said Lallumba could not be found at JNIMS and RIMS when investigated in the light of the statement.
Besides, there is neither report of accident involving Lallumba nor he being treated in hospitals, Rousseau said.
Meanwhile, another source said that Lallumba had withdrawn some amount of money from UBI AT Line on June 26/27.However, whether the said amount was the controversial Rs 1.92 crore or not could not be confirmed immediately.
The source also said that Lallumba met an accident on July 5 and was admitted to RIMS.
However he has already been discharged from the hospital.
After the discharge, the whereabouts of Lallumba is still not clear.
Rousseau also denied reports about cadres acquiring motor bikes from the amount sanctioned by the Govt.He further questioned how Lallumba has recently procured two Bolero Jeeps (latest model), one Gypsy, a Chevrolet Beat car, one Tata Winger and a Tractor.
Lallumba had also once mentioned to Rousseau that he would extend financial assistance of Rs 35 lakh to an important person of the Joint Monitoring Group of the tripartite agreement recently.
There were also instances when Lallumba thrashed some cadres who asked their share of the amount sanctioned by the Govt while also pointing out several instances where he showed his one-man leadership.
Based on whose official report did the Home Minister defend Lallumba, Rousseau questioned.
The cadres would be more agitated if Gaikhangam defended Lallumba.
The situation would be more congenial had Gaikhangam come to the designated camp and made the statement, he added.
A tripartite agreement among the KCP-MC (Lallumba), Govt of Manipur and Govt of India was signed on August 6, 2010 at 1st MR Banquet Hall.
All the 119 cadres of the outfit have been rehabilitated at a temporary designated camp located within 7th MR premises, Khabeisoi.
