Swift action on DK James killing case lauded

JAC against the brutal killing of Dk.
James alias Moshilpha Maring of Laiching Minou in Chandel District and other Maring bodies today expressed their gratitude to the State Government and its police personnel for swift and prompt action taken up to arrest the killer.
While addressing a press meet at the residence of Late Dk.
James alias Moshilpha Maring today, Gabriel Chinir, Convenor of the JAC, thanked the state government and the police team for their efforts that led to the arrest of the culprit.
Chinir also appealed all to maintain calm and not to communalise the issue.
Chairman of Laiching Minou Village Authority demanded State Government to book other culprits if there were any more involved in the crime and punished befittingly.
The motive behind the killing should also be made public, the Chairman added.
Angdun Maring, President of Maring Uparap Assembly, pointed out that tribals, particularly the Maring tribe, has own custom and tradition to deal with such crimes.
Therefore, the case of the brutal killing of Dk.
James alias Moshilpha should be allowed to be settled in accordance to the custom & tradition of Maring community.
