The All Mizoram Manipuri Association, Aizawl, has deeply mourned the death of 13 civilians and injury of at least 50 others, and expressed `unflinching' support and solidarity to the present movement for saving the territorial integrity of Manipur.
In a release faxed to IFP die association strongly condemned the extension of cease-fire coverage beyond Nagaland seriously threatening the inviolable territorial integrity of the three states of Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh and Assam It also strongly decried the "unpardonable act of crime committed by the Centre by killing at least 13 innocent people and injuring more than 50 innocent people through calculated criminal design in Manipur".
"The present state of chaos and anarchy had been well anticipated by the Centre.
But it decided to play up with the sentiment of the people.
Such attitude of the Central administration towards the people of Manipur is deeply deplored by the association", the release said.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Manipuri Students' Union has expressed serious indignation and protest against the `merciless' killings of "civilians in Manipur on Monday, and demanded the Union home ministry to institute an impartial judicial inquiry into the killing.
