Imphal, November 13 2018:
Tulihal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of IGAR (South) celebrated the 129th birth anniversary of Late Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, which is celebrated on November 14th and widely known as Children's Day.
On the occasion of children's Day a Painting competition and local Educational Tour for the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Imphal West was organised.

Getting the imaginations of children to paper and their painting skills to test, a Painting competition was conducted on the theme of "Emerging Manipur : Vision for 2030".After the painting competition, the students were taken for a visit to the Red Hill War Memorial and Nambol Army Camp.
The school Principal and teachers appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles in organizing such events which infused the values of belongingness and sacrifice in the children and the youth of the region.
