One more succumbs, positive cases rise by 270

Imphal, November 21 2020:
One 70-year old man from Imphal West expired at Raj Medicity due to COVID-19 taking the death toll to 233 whereas 270 new positive cases including 25 in Wangoi and Wangjing-Tentha Assembly segments were detected during the last 24 hours.
The 270 fresh positive cases were detected at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Imphal West, Maipakpi Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Shija Hospital, Imphal Hospital, Christian Hospital, Swiss Clinic, IRL, Raj Medicity, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Tamenglong, Senapati, Chandel, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Babina Diagnostics.
The fresh positive cases are inclusive of 41 personnel of CAPF.
The 229 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (98), Imphal East (56), Thoubal (20), Bishnupur (21), Kakching (2), Chandel (1), Ukhrul (1), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (1), Churachandpur (14), Senapati (5) and Kangpokpi (5) .
In the meantime, 193 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (34), home isolation (59), RIMS (19), JNIMS (15), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (23), CCC UNACCO (22), RD Wing (3), Sadbhavna (2), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (4), Bal Bhavan (2), Thoubal (6) and Jiribam (1) .
The cumulative figure of positive cases is 23018 (general population 20047, Central security personnel 2971) .
It includes 2972 active cases (general population 2759, Central security personnel 213) and 19813 discharged cases (general population 17059, Central security personnel 2754) .
The recovery rate stands at 86.07 per cent.
A late report informed that 162 samples out of 401 tested at JNIMS today were found infected by the virus.
Out of 56 ssamples tested today at Lilong, 15 were found positive.
Further, 151 fresh positive cases were detected in Imphal West today.
The positive cases include 37 residents of Chingamakha, five of Chingamathak, six of Sagolband Thangjam Leirak and eight staff/residents of the Chief Minister's bungalow.
