Imphal, August 20:
The state government today observed the Sadbhavana Divas at the Secretariat South Block with K Kipgen, advisor (K) to the Governor, as the chief guest.
The state officials and employees were also administered the Sadbhavana Divas pledge by the chief guest.
Speaking at the function, K Kipgen emphasized the need to foster peace and harmony among all communities living in the state to protect the national integrity.
He also appealed to the people to uphold the two-millennia-old tradition of peaceful coexistence among different communities in the state.
The DDU of the directorate of information and public relations presented the opening and closing songs in the function which was also attended by Ram Mohan, advisor (R) to the Governor; chief secretary, DGP and other higher civil and police officials and employees.
Officials and employees of the DIPR were also administered the Sadbhavana Divas pledge by the director, L Lakher, today to mark the occasion.
