The State administration has terminated the service of Th Saratkumar Singh, assistant manager and deputy general manager, MSRTC with immediate effect.
A notification issued by the chairman of MSRTC, K Panmei said that Th Saratkumar was appointed as marketing officer, MSRTC on adhoc basis on May 7, 1983.He was subsequently promoted as assistant manager on adhoc basis on Nov 22, 1984.However as per the decision taken by the Board of Directors of MSRTC to terminate all adhoc appointees after expiry of the term of adhoc appointments, Saratkumar was terminated from service on March 1, 1985.Despite the termination order, Saratkumar's service was extended by an order on July 10, the same year only to find his service terminated on October 4, the same year again.
Thereafter Saratkumar was re-appointed and terminated a number of times and his final termination was issued on October 4, 1985, said the notification.
Saratkumar however bounced back into service when he was appointed on contract basis for a period of six months on February 28, 1989.His adhoc appointment was converted into an officiating status on March 28, 1989 without holding DPC meeting by the then chairman-cum managing director.
Saratkumar was again terminated by an order issued on April 1, 1989 as his service was no longer required by the MSRTC.
The official then approached the court and obtained a stay order on the termination order from the Court on April 6 and continued his service as assistant general manager on officiating basis.
Despite the ban of filling up of vacant posts imposed by the Board of Directors of MSRTC, Saratkumar was promoted to the post of deputy general manager on October 28,1993.The promotion was then cancelled and Saratkumar was reverted back to his former post as AGM on June 18, 1994.The official filed a case in the court and obtained an interim order on June 21, 1994.
