The National Integrity Protection Committee, NIPCO, celebrated its first anniversary today with a function at the Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal.
Kh Yaimabi Devi, president in charge of NIPCO, presided over the function.
Khomdram Ratan and Sapamcha Jadumani, convenors of the UCM attended as guests of honour.
Dr L Fimate, head of forensic science, RIMS, Md Riyas Uddin Chodhury, retired lecturer, GP Women's College, and Meibou Phoumei, president of the Zeliangrong United Clubs Association, Manipur Valley also attended the celebration as special guests today.
Two minutes' silence was observed at the gathering in remembrance of the martyrs of the territorial integrity protection agitation.
Among other invitees were RK Ranendrajit, Nabakumar, Koijam Shatrajit and MC Rita, who in their speeches laid emphasis on protection of territorial integrity, and integration of all communities without distinction of caste, creed or place of birth etc.
