Athlete goes missing from Churachandpur

Imphal, May 04 2011:
One National athlete, who also works as an agent of home delivery service of LPG cylinders, has gone missing from Churachandpur since April 23 .
Thiyam Angou Singh (31) s/o late Mangi of Patsoi Part-III of Imphal West district went to Churachandpur with his brother Amuba to transport LPG cylinders on April 22 last.
Amu returned home in the evening.
However, Angou went missing since April 23.He last talked to his family members over phone at around 6 pm of April 23 .
Speaking to reporters, Angou's mother Sanajaobi said that Angou and Amu have business of transporting LPG cylinders to Churachandpur.
She added that Angou and Amu went to Churachandpur with 21 filled LPG cylinders on April 22 .
Amu returned home the same day in the evening.
However, Angou halted the night at the town with a person of his locality Patsoi, she added.
Sanajaobi said, Angou sent 17 empty cylinders to Imphal the next day and talked to family members at around 6 pm.
She added that Angou remains traceless after it.
She urged the concerned to release her son on humanity ground in case if anybody detains him.
Angou is a married person and has one son and two daughters.
He is a National long distance runner and won many medals.
