4 kg of Heroin seized from a oil tanker truck

Imphal, May 28 2019:
An oil tanker truck, which tried to smuggle 4 Kg of heroin drugs, by joining in a convoy escorted towards Dimapur by CRPF from Imphal was screwed by Moa police yesterday evening at around 11 pm.
According to source the tanker truck bearing registration number MN-01 8221 was found travelling to a group of tanker trucks escorted by the CRPF.
However, the registration number of the truck was not listed in the convoy.
This was found when the trucks were checked by a team of state police posted at Mao gate.
Driver of the truck, Kumar Subedi (39) from Kanglatongbi and his assistant were detained and while interrogation it was found that they joined the CRPF escorted convoy at Kanglatombi by pasting a fake token number IOCL -67.The commander of the 173 battalion of the CRPF which escorted the convoy verified that the driver and truck was not in the list that they were escorting.
When checked, 4 Kg of heroin were seized hidden in the truck.
The driver and the assistant along with the truck and the seized items were detained in Mao police custody after registering a case.
