Even as their ongoing relay hunger strike has entered its third phase, students of DM College of Science have warned of resorting to various intense form of agitations including mass hunger strike if the Government fails to take up necessary measures to restore normal classes within October 17.In pursuance of their demand for restoration of normal classes, the agitating students of the college have been launching a relay hunger strike since October 12.In the third phase of the agitation, six students are presently carrying on with the relay hunger strike.
They are Thangjam Sunil (B Sc 3rd year Zoology Honours), Salam Romen Singh (B Sc 3rd year Statistics Honours), Oinam Basanta (B Sc 3rd year Physics Honours), Gurumayum Amarraj Sharma (B Sc 2nd year) Leimapokpam Kingsly Singh and Naorem Victor Singh ( B Sc 3rd year).
After the end of the current phase of the agitation on October 17, the agitating students informed that they would be submitting an ultimatum to the Chief Minister.
If the Govt fails to take up necessary measures toward fulfilling their demand within October 17, we would have no choice but to intensify the ongoing stir by taking recourse to various intense form of agitation including mass hunger strike, agitating students stated firmly.
