Imphal, March 15 2011:
All Manipur Women Constable Written Test Faced Candidates and Guardians Union has announced that it would be launching various intense agitations against the Government if it fails to declare the results of the written test.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at Manipur Press Club here today, secretary of the Union Chingnu Haokip informed that the written test for recruitment of 800 women constables was held on November 30, 2008.But the results of the written test have not been declared till date.
This is despite the fact that the training for the 7th IRB, SIs/ASIs, the recruitment of which was held much later, has already started and now the Government is trying to recruit more women constables although the results of the earlier written test have not yet been declared.
Such negligence and discriminatory attitude of the Govt is condemnable, Chingnu Haokip said, and demanded the their issue would be taken up for discussion in the ongoing session of the Assembly.
''Otherwise, we would have no option but to launch various intense agitations'', Chingnu Haokip said, while informing that the Union has submitted memorandum to the Chief Minister three times.
Recalling an earlier meeting with the DGP on in November 2010, Chingu Haokip said that in that meeting, the police officer gave the assurance of declaring the results before Ningol Chakkouba.
However, as the results were not declared, the Union again met the DGP, who this time, assured the Union members that the results would be out in February, 2011.But the declaration of the results is still awaited and the Union members have been denied permission to meet the DGP when they went to meet the police officer in his office for inquiry, Chingnu Haokip lamented.
