New AMSU office bearers take oath of secrecy

Newly elected office bearers of the AMSU for the years 2011-2013 were administered the oath of secrecy in a ceremony held at the head office of the students' union today.
Outgoing president I Jamesbond Mangang presided the oath taking ceremony which was graced by former president L Sharatchandra as chief guest.
Thokchom Suresh of LMGM Law College, Churachandpur took oath as president for the term from 2011 to 2013, Md Abdul Shah of Shri Shri Balmukunda Dev Music College has become the vice president and Ningthoujam Dipanjit of Yairipok Hindi College the general secretary.
After the oath taking ceremony, as president, Suresh assured that he will work in the interest of the students and the society.
"We should work together for a good cause for the society" he asserted.
The new office bearers also promised that they will be sincere in discharging their duties as functionaries of the union and to safeguard the interests of the students.
Returning officer of the election committee, Kh Khaba suggested members of the union to cooperate with the new office bearers.
