Imphal, December 05:
Some unknown persons allegedly tried to kidnap the four-year old son of MoS (Independence Charge) GAD Francis Ngajokpa from his school today.
However the attempt was foiled, thanks to the alert teachers and staff of the school.
Reports said that two unknown persons had come to the Triumph KG School near BRTF at Lamphel where four year old Thingnung Christopher studies today.
They informed the school authority that Thingnung had to be taken away at once as one of his relatives at Senapati had passed away.
The school authority asked them to write an application, which the duo complied and handed over to the application signed as Francis Ngajokpa.
This raised the suspicion and to avoid any foul play the school Principal decided to ring up the family of the Minister to find out the truth.
The suspicion was confirmed when the family members denied the death of any relative nor having sent any person to pick up the boy from the school.
But by that time, the two unknown persons had fled from the scene already.
Meanwhile, Ngajokpa has put up a complaint to the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh who is also in-charge of the Home portfolio in connection with the incident.
The Chief Minister has given instructions to tighten the security of all Ministers/MLAs and their relatives.
