Imphal, May 05 2021:
Inner Manipur Lok Sabha MP, Dr RK Ranjan has categorically stated that Mamata Banerjee has no moral right to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of West Bengal after losing in the recent Assembly elections.
Briefing journalists at the office of BJP State Unit at Keishampat today, RK Ranjan continued that Mamata Banerjee losing the Nandigram seat to the BJP's Suvendu Adhikari, is a clear indication that she no longer has people support.
Though her party (All India Trinamool Congress) nominated her as the Chief Ministerial candidate, she has no moral right to hold the office, the MP added.
He also claimed that Trinamool workers have killed more than 10 BJP supporters in the post poll violence and torched over 400 houses.
Maintaining that BJP units across the country staged protests against the alleged savagery of AITC today, the MP confirmed that the same protest was also staged in different parts of the State.

Paraphrasing the popular idiom "What Bengal thinks today India thinks tomorrow", Dr Ranjan said that the image of West Bengal which has contributed much to India freedom struggle seems to be deteriorating after AITC led by Mamata Banerjee came to power.
He also accused the AITC of scripting the most horrible poll-related violence in the history of Indian politics.
Accusing the AITC of allegedly instigating anti-India movements in the State, the MP added that the aggressiveness of the Trinamool Congress is influenced by the violent tactics of the Left party which had ruled West Bengal for over two decades.
The Government in West Bengal is not utilising funds for different schemes released by the Centre properly, alleged the MP.
Further stating that AITC won the West Bengal election as certain parties envious of the developmental projects taken up by the BJP including Congress banded together to blunt the saffron party, the MP added that BJP won 77 seats despite the efforts.
Speaking about the Covid pandemic, Dr Ranjan apprised that Chief N Biren has already opened a Covid Care Centre in every Assembly segment and is giving all-out efforts to ensure oxygen availability to all patients who require them.
Saying that cooperation between the people and the Government is imperative to defeat the virus, the MP appealed to all to get vaccinated for COVID-19 without hesitation.
