Random Covid testing conducted in CCpur

CCpur, May 29 2021:
The Health Department, Churachandpur in association with the District Police today conducted a mass random Covid testing for the second time this month at Tuibong and New Lamka in Churachandpur today.
Out of the 150 persons tested randomly on the streets, 2 people were tested COVID-19 positive.
It may be mentioned that on May 15, a similar exercise was conducted at two locations within the main market area.
In which 2 persons tested COVID-19 positive out of 70 persons.
Besides, in view of the increasing trend of COVID-19 infection in the district, several organisations and individuals have donated medical equipment and other essential items to the District Health authorities to help them fight the pandemic while village level Task Forces are monitoring the movement of public and home isolation in many parts of the district.
The Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) with the support from CBM India Trust donated 50 sets of TrueNat Test Chips today, as a seed operation to make the hospital's TrueNat Machine operational.
According to the MoU signed by the CCI and the hospital authority, the donated test chips will serve as a seed to make the TrueNat machine functional by charging a sum of Rs 1150 per test, so that the remunerated amount will be used only to buy more chips to serve more people in the community.
Meanwhile, Saikot MLA TN Haokip also donated protective gears and Rs 1 Lakh to the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Churachandpur today.
