CTF Yaikongpao/Tumnoupokpi organises COVID-19 vaccination drive

Kangpokpi, May 29 2021:
The COVID Task Force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi under Kangpokpi AC organised a COVID-19 vaccination drive for the age group 18 to 44 years today at Yaikongpao village.
The vaccination drive was conducted as a part of the preventive measure initiated by the COVID Task Force, which was constituted by the local MLA Nemcha Kipgen with an aim to prevent further spread of COVID-19 infection in Kangpokpi AC.
It may be mentioned that Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency was the first to constitute COVID Task Force in the State under the leadership of Nemcha Kipgen.
The seven COVID Task Force under Kangpokpi AC have continuously embarked on various preventive measures in their respective areas under the supervision of the overall in-charge Shyam Kumar, MCS, SDO Kangpokpi.
Around 150 individuals were vaccinated with Covishield in the vaccination drive organized by COVID Task Force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi in collaboration with the District Medical Department and the District police today.
As directed by the local MLA in the recent review meeting, fooding and refreshment for the health workers and other frontline workers engaged in the vaccination drive was provided by the Yaikongpao Village Authority and the COVID Task Force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi.
Apart from the vaccination drive, the COVID Task Force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi also sealed the containment area where two new positive cases were detected today at Tumnoupokpi village.
M John Thangal, Chairman COVID Task Force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi conveyed sincere gratitude to the local MLA for her diplomatic strategies and sincere concern towards the people of Kangpokpi AC particularly with respect to public safety during this pandemic.
Meanwhile, COVID Task Force Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi, Tujang, Irang area and Parsain also continued to embark on various preventive measures including providing assistance to health workers, enforcement of COVID appropriate behaviours in their respective areas.
Fire Service personnel of Kangpokpi were also engaged in sanitization of various locations including Hospital area and Health Centres in Kangpokpi AC.
District Hospital Kangpokpi was also sanitized by the fire service personnel in collaboration with the COVID Task Force Kangpokpi.
