Imphal, July 28 2021: BJP Manipur Pradesh member Khumbongmayum Suresh, who is preparing to contest the upcoming assembly election from Uripok assembly constituency, has announced Rs 50,000 reward for clubs in the assembly segment on achieving 100 per cent vaccination target.

He announced the cash reward during a mass Covid-19 vaccination programme jointly organised by Awonba Uripok Kendra and Iroishemba Youth Development Committee under the aegis of health department at Iroishemba PHSC on Wednesday.

Briefly speaking on the sidelines of the programme conducted as a part of Seva Hi Sangathan Phase 2, Suresh informed that Rs 50,000 will be awarded to the first club which can attain cent per cent vaccination target in their respective localities, Rs 30,000 to the second club and Rs 20,000 to the third.

The initiative was taken up with the objective to encourage the people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 since vaccination is the only way to protect from the pandemic, he said and appealed to all to adhere to Covid SOP and appropriate behaviour so as to stay safe from the infectious disease and bring about a safe Uripok AC .
