Patsoi MLA distributes PMJAY, CMHT cards

Around 300 families of widows and those living under Below Poverty Line (BPL) in Patsoi assembly constituency were handed over PMJAY and CMHT cards by local MLA Ak Mirabai on Wednesday.
Speaking during the distribution function held at her residence, Mirabai vowed to do her best to ease problems faced by the people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patsoi Block Congress Committee conducted a week-long camp to identify BPL families and widows living in Patsoi AC based on 2011 SECC data and prepared the cards and distributed the same so that these cards could help the families during this pandemic at least to some extent, Mirabai said.
She also pledged to do everything at her level best to contain COVID-19 pandemic apart from distributing edible items to the suffering people.
Edible items are being distributed to families in containment zones every day and free ambulance service arranged for positive people needing to go to Community Home Isolation Centres (CHIC), she said, adding that vaccination and testing programmes to prevent from the virus are continuing unabated.
According to Mirabai, two more CHICs have been opened in Patsoi for the convenience of people as the lone CHIC could not accommodate all and she has been providing food for those staying in CHIC thereby easing problems faced by families of positive people in arranging food.
Apart from this, edible items and cash are being provided to families of COVID-19 victims, she added.
The distribution function was also attended by Langjing GP pradhan M Romen Singh, Thounaojam Leikai GP pradhan N Ratan, Sapam Leirak GP pradhan A Bishorjit, Changangei GP pradhan L Roma Leima, social worker K Pritam and Changangei ZP member S Marjit.
Apart from them, Patsoi Block Congress Committee president L Kumar, vice president S Nongpoknganba, Th Mani and others too participated in the function.
On the other hand, Patsoi Tuliyaima Century Club conducted a mass vaccination programme under the aegis of local MLA at Ima Panthoibi Sanglen, Patsoi Part-3 Wednesday wherein 270 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 .
