Senapati DC organises 'study tour' for students of remote areas

Senapati, March 12 2021:
Visiting many historical and important places in Manipur, 60 students selected out of the best performing schools from the remote areas of Senapati district were treated with a 2 days rare and exciting study tour.
An initiative of DC Kirankumar, IAS, the students including both boys and girls guided and led by 3 teachers visited different historical places of the State.
The teachers from different schools lauded and thanked the DC for organising such tours for the students from the remote Government schools like Oinam Hill, Bendramei, Mao, Tadubi and others.
The students who were mostly visiting the State's capital city for the first time visited the famous Historical Kangla fort and the Manipur Assembly.
On the first day of the educational tour, they visited the Keibul Lamjao park, the INA museum at Moirang, boating and sight seeing at Loktak lake.
DC Kirankumar personally visited and spoke with the students at Yum & Hill cottage at Luwangsangbam.
DC Kirankumar stated that the tour was initiated to motivate and give opportunities to explore those important sites in Manipur.
"Such prominent places with high significance in the history of our State will be better understood when physically visited", he asserted.
On the second day, the students visited Manipur Assembly, Kangla and other important places.
