People will give a right mandate in 2012 Assembly election: CPI

Former minister and CPI leader Dr M Nara said that there would come up a change after the 2012 Assembly election in the state expressing his believe that people will give a right mandate in the election considering the prevailing chaotic situation of the state.
Speaking at the 39th annual local conference of the CPI, Kumbi Local Council today, the former minister said asserted that most of the political parties in the state come out at the time of election only.
This is a bad thing for the people of the state.
Besides this, most of the politicians are preferred working in the interest of their family, relatives and localities.
Such kind of politics is seen only in the state.
They are doing politics for their own benefits, Nara said keeping CPI on the sideline.
He said CPI is the only political party working actively without a break for the uplifting living condition of the weaker section of the society baring the differences of caste creed and religion.
For the CPI all people are equal, he said.
Now time has come for the people to identified politicians who work with their own vested interest.
Delay in teaching a lesson to such politicians will drag the society into darkness, he said urging the people to get ready for choosing right persons in the forthcoming election and save the society.
Encouraging women joining politic, Nara said that women should take part in the decision making.
State women have enough power to lead the society in the right, he said recalling how the historic Nupilal was erupted.
Had then brave women not rose up against the injustice of the government, Manipur of today might have not exist, he asserted.
MLA N Mangi, taking part on the occasion, said that CPI has been tirelessly working for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society.
The party is doing not for vote but for the sake of the welfare of the people.
The motto of the party to bring a socialist society and will leave no stone unturned to achieve the end.
Talking on the initiative, he had taken up for the people of his Kumbi A/C, the MLA said that works for supplying safe drinking water to the people has been taken up.
The work for availability of of irrigation water in the fields has also been in progress, he said.
The local conference of the party held at Terakha of Kumbi was attended by around 2000 workers and supporters of CPI coming up from different places across the Bishnupur district.
