Moirangthem Naocha Singh of Khurai Thongam Leikai has been admitted to the GNRC hospital in Guwahati and treatment on him has started from today.
Naocha who received serious head injuries in the June 18 incident reached Guwahati last evening by road.
Representatives of the JN Hospital Relief Committee told reporters today that though treatment has been started, the results could not b e received till late this evening.
They said that altogether ten injured persons including one admitted today are getting treatment at the JN Hospital after Naocha has been referred to Guwahati.
The latest victim identified as The Nishikanta (18) of Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai received injuries at his waist and spine in the stampede on June 18.The relief committee has thanked Aadarsh Laboratory at Kanglapat for giving concession in a diagnostic test of an injured person.
The committee further said that it has fixed new electric bulbs in rooms of the hospital and vegetable items donated by the general public were distributed to other patients getting treatment in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Chingambam Pandit, a victim of the June 18 incident will be discharged from the RIMS hospital�s Post Operative Ward tomorrow as his condition has improved.
The other patients are also making fast recovery.
Doctors said that Thangjam Badan who is staying in the Surgical Ward is likely to be operated tomorrow.
The conditions of Laimayum Naoton, Mayanglanbam Romeo, Khaidem Banti and Raju, have seen marked improvement.
Helpline representatives said that around 40 persons came for donating blood at the hospital today.
Meanwhile, the RIMS hospital administration has thanked the doctors, particularly the junior doctors, nurses including student nurses and other staff of the hospital for their untiring and devoted services on the day of mass casualties on June 18.The administration has lauded the staff for their selfless services to maintain the hospital services during the curfew period.
