Th Lokeshwar donates essential items to Covid Isolation Centre

Th Lokeshwar, MLA of Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency donated essential items to Covid Isolation Centre opened at Naorem Birahari College today.
He donated medicines, face masks, hand sanitizers, hand gloves, PPE kits etc.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is a matter of serious concern that the Covid test results are kept on hold for days by the authorities concerned when one is well aware that the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic is more dangerous and is highly contagious.
Talking about the treatment rendered at JNIMS during this pandemic, he said that many have contracted COVID-19 while going for treatment in ' JNIMS since the authorities concerned are not seeing to it whether the Covid SOPs and guidelines are followed or not.
He continued that many locals of Khundrakpam AC got infected with COVID-19 after going to JNIMS for other treatments therefore he urged the Government and authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest in the interest of the general public.
He also appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and ensure that proper contact tracing is done and conduct mass testing to contain the spread of COVID-19.Further he urged the Chief Minister to probe the cause for alarming increase in Covid positive cases and fatalities in the State despite the restrictions imposed by the State.
Regarding the ongoing row regarding distribution of NFSA rice, Th Lokeshwar said that the Government should solve the matter at the earliest as many are deprived of their regular share of rice amid the difficult time of the pandemic in many Assembly Constituencies in the State.
The process of linking Aadhar should be ramped up and assign nodal officers and computer operators for the same to ensure that the general public do not suffer.
