We need to collectively take stand against COVID-19: Karam Shyam

We all need to collectively take a strict stand against COVID-19 if we are to win the battle against it.
MLA Karam Shyam said this at the inaugural function of opening a Covid Vaccination Centre under Health Department at Ibudhou Pureiromba Community Hall today.
He added that it is human being that is going to be affected and become carrier of the virus and as such there is a need to take a strict stand to protect ourselves from the virus and in case we caught the virus, we should take appropriate measures to ensure that we do not infect others.
Karam Shyam also urged people not to believe hoax and superstitious claims circulated regarding vaccination drive currently underway in the state and added that vaccination is the duty of everyone and the greatest means to protect ourselves from the virus.
2130 individuals in Kakwa PHC and 2900 individuals at Samurou PHC in Langthabal AC were vaccinated till today and the vaccination at Ibudhou Pureiromba Community Hall was conducted for the people having transportation problems and will conduct another vaccination drive for people left out by taking permission from the Government.
There is plan to vaccinate 365 people in the vaccination drive and 400 doses of Covishield has also be brought to the centre, he added.
Karam Shyam also urged the people to motivate and show respect to all the Front Line Workers (FLWs) and observed all SOP as mandated by relevant Government authority.
