Deaths of eminent persons condoled

Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution minister Th Satyabrata Singh, Manipur Sahitya Parishad, United People's Front (UPF) Manipur, Khorirol Sandoklup-Wangjing, All Manipur Music Association, Sheihek Sheireng Sheipal Shemgat Lup (SHEI-PAL), Apunba Manipur Ma-tam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK) Bishnupur Centre, Manipur Statd Kala Akademi (MSKA), Sheirengbasingi Apunba Lup (SAL) and Ashangba Communication Wangkhei extended heartfelt condolences over the sudden demise of Sahitya Akademi awardee Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam.
In separate condolence messages minister Satyabrata and organisations recounted the enormous contributions made by Dr Jodhachandra and stated that his untimely death is an irreparable loss to Manipur.
Two minutes silence was also observed by the organisations in respect to the departed soul in their respective offices.
They also shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for peaceful rest of the departed soul in the heavenly abode.
On the other hand, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has extended condolences over the demise of its former ENT HOD Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam and JNIMS senior resident Dr Kyoduwo Richard Duomai.
A condolence meeting was held at RIMS Jubilee Hall RIMS under the chairmanship of director Prof A Santa Singh on Monday and observed two minutes' silence to pay respect to the departed souls, informed a condolence message issued by RIMS media advisor N Phillip Singh.
Nepali Sahitya Parishad Manipur (NSPM) also expressed deep condolence over demise of Dr Jodhachandra and writer Kesho Singh Irengba.
Members of the Parishad conducted an online meet and observed two minutes' silence for the peaceful rest of departed soul, informed an NSPM statement.
Manipur State Kala Akademi also conveyed heartfelt condolences over the sudden demise of Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam and Thang Ta instructor Mutum Arunkumar Meitei.
Film Forum Manipur too mourned the death of Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam and actor Sagolsem Romio Meitei while Samata Party Manipur state committee condoled the untimely demise of BJP Manipur Pradesh president Prof S Tikendra Singh.
