NPF Chandel unit casts slur on SF

The NPF Chandel Divisional Unit has accused the State security personnel of harassing NPF workers in connivance with an Independent candidate in Chandel A/C and INC workers.
In a press statement, NPF Chandel Divisional Unit alleged that State security personnel physically and psychologically harassed, detained and abducted NPF workers during poll process of the recently concluded State Assembly election.
The statement added, that NPF agents of Khudei Khullen who were picked up before the polling day were sent to jail by framing 'fabricated' charges.
The NPF Chandel Divisional Unit which advocated peaceful voting through exercising their respective franchise became a soft target due to incorrect inputs highlighted in the print media, it alleged.
The party added that the factual events that the voter of Chandel district encountered were not highlighted rightly by the media.
The incidents of victimising NPF workers by the security personnel in connivance with SS Olish were not restrained in time, and it must be termed as an attempt to murder the democracy of the country, the party said.
It further said that threats meted out by the supporters of INC candidate in 42 – Tengnoupal A/Cand SS Olish in Chandel A/C went beyond toleration as it created fear psychosis with the deployment of heavily armed Manipur police commandos during repolling on February 4.The statement added that SS Olish enjoyed full proof security during electioneering, but she always blamed NPF workers that maligned the good image of the party.
The party also cautioned that such attempts would not be healthy for the society and may affect the social harmony.
