Imphal, March 01 2013:
In the aftermath of the PLA's attack on troops of 1/11 GR between S Kotlen and Torbung Bangla along Tidim road under Churachandpur police station on February 26 in which one personnel was killed and three others injured, 1/11 GR has been threatening local villagers demanding hand over of PLA cadres taking shelter there, the proscribed RPF alleged.
The Indian military was threatening the local villagers as they were unable to face the PLA.
It is an attempt to use civilians as their human shield, claimed a press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Roben Khuman.
It is natural to suffer casualties when a war is fought.
That is why, both the Indian military and the PLA have been suffering casualties.
Though it is universally accepted that casualties are bound to happen when a war or battle is fought, it is not advisable not to pay any attention to the casualties suffered by civilians.
As for RPF, it takes utmost care not to cause or minimise casualty of civilians as far as possible claimed the outfit.
In the course of the ongoing liberation movement, whenever the Indian military suffered any casualty, the normal reaction was to turn their wrath and commit all kinds of excesses against local civilians, it alleged.
The Indian military treat the civilians in the most repressive measure because they rightly assume that they were attacked by the people of Manipur, it alleged.
Since the day Manipur was allegedly annexed into the Indian Union, the Indian military has been scheming continuously to bring the economy under their control and exterminate the whole generation by imposing a number of black laws.
Apart from committing rampant rape, murder, massacre and engineering many cases of forced disappearance, the Indian military has been promoting huge and continuous influx of Indian people with a sinister design to dilute and obscure the tradition, culture and identity of the indigenous people.
The drug warfare covertly carried out by the Indian military for the last many decades has been exposed recently.
Given this situation, the indigenous peoples are compelled to fight a series of battles in order to save the nation.
It is advisable for the civilians/villagers to introspect before coming out in media with a condemnation against attacks on the Indian military for fear of reprisal from the Indian military.
It is the people of the land who must fight for their freedom.
No outsiders would fight on their behalf.
As such, people ought to face boldly all the hardships that would come along with the freedom struggle,
it asserted.
"We should not turn back from the liberation struggle for fear of the repressive measures adopted by the Indian military", it added.
It was a remarkable episode in the history of the liberation when the people stood up and fight collectively without any fear for months when Manorama was murdered by the Indian military.
Most of the independent nations which were earlier under foreign occupation are what they are today because they successfully faced and overcome all the hardships associated with freedom struggle and repressive measures that came along with it.
The ongoing war of liberation being waged by RPF together with people is the only way to free the nation from the yoke of Indian rule, it claimed.
The situation demands that people unite together and fight a decisive war against the Indian military without any fear in order to liberate Manipur, it added.
